Top 10 Beaches in the UK

According to Timeout the 10 best beaches in the UK are as follows: 1. Camber Sands, Sussex 2. Durdle Door, Dorset 3. Porthcurno, Cornwall 4. Pentle, Isles of Scilly 5. Holkham, Norfolk 6. Luskentyre, Isle of Harris 7. Summerleaze,  Cornwall 8. Tankerton, Kent 9. Rhossili, Wales 10. Whitby, Yorkshire

Incredibly Camber Sands, ranked top, is also the closest to London, less than 80 miles and a two hour drive. So if you and your friends are looking for something to do at the weekend just jump on a gogutsi minibus and we’ll whisk you to the seaside in no time at all.  I was lucky enough to take the kids some years ago. It’s no less than five miles long and the dunes are incredible. The kids spent hours and hours hurling themselves of them. It’s got something for everyone. Kite surfing, dog friendly and just 4 miles away is the beautiful village of Rye. It’s perfect for a day visit, a long weekend of a week away. And there’s plenty of accommodation options from boutique hotels to Pontins. You don’t need to go far to see the very best beaches and rumour has it this summer is going to be another cracker so jump onboard and allow us to chauffeur you there. Prices from £240 per coach each way.

112 years of Chelsea Flower Show

112 years of Chelsea Flower Show

The sun is out and the temperature is picking up. It must be time for the Chelsea Flower Show. This year it’s the 112th Show and know doubt will be bigger and better than ever. It’s a massive task to put on with more than 800 people working flat out in the preceding 30 days. There will be 11 show gardens and 17 smaller gardens on view to more than 160,000 visitors. It’s a great event and a firm favourite with gogutsi customers. Although even the largest gardens are barely larger than a terrace yard, walking the show is a real feet burner.

There’s so much to see and do that you’ll easily spend the whole day ambling around the gardens, viewing the amazing water features and sculptures and enjoying a glass or two of champagne. With so many people arriving and leaving at the same time Sloane Square and Chelsea Bridge Road will be bursting and that’s why so many people pre-organise travel to and from the event. gogutsi coaches have been taking customers to the show for the last decade so pre book today and we can offer door to door transport to the show for £22 per person return from anywhere in the M25. All you need is a group of 16 like minded friends yo join you. Choose when to go and when to come back and we’ll do the rest. Why not give your feet a break.

How to celebrate finishing your A Levels?

How to celebrate finishing your A Levels?

It’s June and you’re just about finish your A Levels. In fact finish school!! Once and for all!! Hard to get your head around when for the last 14 years going to school was as regular as breathing in and out. You’re also 18 so there’s not much you can’t do – drive, drink, vote, have a tattoo, get married…. But what to do first? It wont be long until you have to make some serious decisions. Do you go to uni, find a job, travel? But you have some time until results day. Just 9 weeks before those results. Nine care free weeks before you need to re-engage in life once again.

Before you make these major life decisions, step back a little and savour the next few months. Don’t waste them on the sofa playing FIFA 19. Get out and do something new everyday. Here’s some inspiration of practical things to do. It’s a bucket list for teens written by a middle aged man who cant remember what he did in those precious 9 weeks but wishes he’d done some of them.

1. Build a website. They take just a few hours and cost nothing. But you’ll begin to understand commerce. Forget French and Spanish. WordPress is the universal language. Everything is online and you need to be online and know how to stay online!

2. Learn how to take photographs. Real photographs! Stunning Photographs! Pictures say so much more than words. It doesn’t matter what you have to say because no one will even bother reading it if it doesn’t look gorgeous. Not selfies at the end of a stick. Express yourself. Capture colour, life and beauty.

3. Start your own investment portfolio. Sounds grand but its as simple as taking a bit of your beer money and buying some shares and watching the market. By the time you apply for a job you’ll have learnt how to buy, sell, lose and make money.

4. Take your bus driving test! Believe me, theres a huge shortage of good bus and coach drivers. Globally!! Finding them is like sniffing out truffles in the Forest of Dean. This is a skill for life. Wherever you go, UK, Europe, Africa, Asia you can get a job and earn your way.

5. Volunteer. Help someone who needs your help. However tough you think your life is and however hard done-by you think you are there are many many more with less. There’s no greater happiness than giving your time to help someone. It costs nothing and will empower you more than cash or materials ever could. It will help change their lives and might just change yours forever.

6. Visit your grandparents. Enough said. You will miss them and they have so much knowledge and wisdom to share.

You only have 9 weeks so make the most!

Affordable Art Fair in 25th Year

Affordable Art Fair in 25th Year

What a wonderful weekend on Hampstead Heath. I visited the AAF where gogutsi is a proud partner, providing executive transport to and from the fair in our stunning fleet of executive Mercedes 16 seat minibuses.  We’ve been working together now since 2015 and the fair just gets better and better. This year the show enters its 25th year and more than 185,000 art lovers go the Affordable Art Fairs each year, now in 11 major cities in 10 countries. Wow. What an amazing story. If you haven’t been you must go as the array of art is so diverse.

Theres something for everyone. In the ten years we’ve been working with the fair its incredible how much the art changes. Paint, sculptures, bronze, clay…… And the array of workshops, all family friendly, and live paint studios, is inspiring. Great food, wonderful champagne bar, Amazing art, gorgeous setting. Whats not to like. you must go. And of course you’ll be taken in style in one of gogutsi’s beautiful 16 seat minibuses. We operate all throughout the show so we’re always there. The next show is in Battersea in October. Simply go to Sloane Square and jump on a free gogutsi minibus and buy something gorgeous to hang on your wall.

Are coaches safer than boats?

Are coaches safer than boats?

I stumbled across this amazing photo a couple of days ago. A huge Humpback whale breaches feet from the rear of the smaller fishing boat enjoying a simple afternoon salmon fishing in Monterey Bay in California. Wow. Seeing that must have been amazing if not totally terrifying and it made me think. What’s the chance of that happening in a gogutsi coach. Well zero to be honest.

Although we have an International Public Service Vehicle Operating Licence and we can travel all over Europe we can’t get to Monterrey in the USA. Whilst you can book our minibuses to travel to one of thousands of amazing European wonders such as Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Edinburgh Castle or The Eiffel Tower,  the only chance of seeing a humpback whale is off the coast of the Hebrides or the Scilly Isles. You can book one of our amazing luxury 16 seat minibuses to either destinations for just £60 an hour. Just take care of the ferry and accommodation and we’ll take care of you.
